AULŪS ~ the journey goes on
It's been almost a year since the creation of the short, poetry n' motion film, "Aulūs". I traveled with it (physically or mentally) from Crete to Kalamata to Athens to Mexico and finally to Palestine, the destination for which it was created in the first place.
Aulūs is part of "Weaving Solidarity", a modular documentary and collaboration between three Norwegian (María Benjamínsdóttir - Tidal Islands, Ingrid Fadnes - You think you grow a plant, Marius Captare «ani ani ani mals») and three Greek filmmakers (Ismini Sakellaropoulou - The game of Solidarity, AEK – Partizan 1999, Irida Mouzou - A day in The beehive, Alkistis Voulgari - Aulūs).
It was presented at the 11th Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival last November, and the filmmakers plan to meet again at the Nordic/Docs International Festival in Fredrikstad this November.
I express my gratitude and respect to the destinations and festivals that hosted Aulūs, as well as to the reporters, journalists, writers, directors, filmmakers, artists and editors who supported the project.
