Dancing Figures   from Travel through Time performance  A composition of four well – known choreographies of Isadora Duncan, the “mother of modern dance" that used to call her inspirations "The dance of the Future".  Isadora, being inspired by ancient Greek art and sculpture as well as the art of Renaissance, creates body-forms that reflect the ideals of Beauty, Harmony, Balance and Freedom.  The dancer begins to move among people towards the stage, transforming the place into a "time - machine" which connects time, space, lives, dreams, past, present and future. The first choreography is called "Tanagras" that Isadora was inspired by the "Tanagra figurines" - little women statues from the ancient homonym town of Boeotia. Second comes "Narcissus", narrating the story of a young man who fell in love with his own reflection and drowned himself in the river, based on Chopin's music. Βαδίζω γι’ άλλη μια φορά πάνω στις ρωγμές της λήθης… Αναρωτιέμαι αν άραγε σπάει ποτέ αυτός ο κύκλος, αυτοί οι κύκλοι. Τελικά σαν σχήμα δε μ’ αρέσει, προτιμώ το ημικύκλιο του Θεάτρου απ’ όπου έχεις μια διέξοδο, δύο τρεις για την ακρίβεια, να κρυφτείς από το φως των προβολέων, τα αδιάκριτα μάτια του κοινού και να τα πεις ήσυχα στη γωνιά σου με τον εαυτό σου. Να καπνίσεις στη ζούλα εκείνο το τσιγαράκι που πάντα περιμένει κάπου εκεί πίσω – και πολλές φορές ξεχνάς πού τ' άφησες κι ανάβεις άλλο και γεμίζεις τα παρασκήνια μισοσβησμένα τσιγάρα για να φωνάζει η κυρά Μαρία που θα σκουπίσει αύριο κ δεν τη σκέφτεται κανείς… Μα σ’ έχει μάθει πια κ όλα στα συγχωρεί. Μια ζωή αφηρημένη. – Οι κύκλοι, - τώρα γνωρίζεις - δε γίνονται έτσι εύκολα σπείρα. Δεν είναι η κυρά Μαρία που πάντα σου συγχωρούσε την αφηρημάδα. Οι κύκλοι έχουν μεγάλο παιδεμό και ζόρι. Μα εσύ ακόμα αφήνεις από δω κ από κει αποτσίγαρα. Αρκετά αυτά τα παρασκήνια. Τον έμαθες το ρόλο, τα πες εκατό φορές τα λόγια, ξέρεις πού πατάς, δε ...
